Please help us welcome Aria to the In Her Era Ambassador Team! 💖🤼♀️
Aria wrestles with STM Cavaliers in South Dakota, and her application was one that really stuck with us.
As an Indigenous athlete, Aria wants girls from every background to know that wrestling is a place for them, regardless of where they come from, what they look like, or the challenges they face.
But it was something else she wrote that really got our attention.
She talked about how sometimes one smiling face, one helping hand, or someone simply saying "You've got this" can be the difference between a girl giving up on wrestling and deciding to come back.
And she's right.
We spend so much time talking about the toughness wrestling builds, but sometimes we forget how much kindness matters in a sport this difficult.
Aria is already doing her part to make sure younger girls feel that support. She helps with wrestling camps, attends practices to encourage younger wrestlers, and lends a hand to coaches whenever she can.
She also promotes Wrestle Like a Girl, connecting her passion for wrestling with breast cancer awareness and the importance of screening.
What we love most is that Aria doesn't measure her impact only by what she accomplishes on the mat. She wants to be someone who helps another girl get through a hard day, come back after a loss, and find the confidence to keep going.
And sometimes, that's a much bigger accomplishment than anything hanging around your neck.

Welcome to the team, Aria! We're proud to have you representing In Her Era and helping make this sport a place where more girls feel supported, encouraged, and welcome. 💕
