Reese wrestles with Matburn Wrestling Club and Deptford Jr Wrestling in New Jersey, and we're so excited to have one of our younger wrestlers joining the team!
One of our favorite things about Reese's application was hearing about the wrestling programs her family is involved in.
Matburn is a brand-new club, still in its very first year, and it's already growing. Reese also wrestles with Deptford Jr Wrestling, where there are around seven girls on the team.
And honestly, that's the kind of thing that makes us so excited about the future of girls wrestling.
Not every wrestling story starts with a state championship or a national tournament. Sometimes it starts with a little girl walking into a wrestling room, learning something new, and discovering that she loves it.
Reese's family wants more girls to experience that. They believe wrestling teaches girls to do hard things, builds confidence that follows them off the mat, and gives them a place to discover what they're capable of.
We couldn't agree more.
These little wrestling rooms and growing clubs are where the future of girls wrestling is being built, and we're pretty excited to have Reese be part of it.
