Kalliscya is a wrestler at Lindsey Wilson University and a member of the Carolina Reapers. What inspired us most about her application wasn't just her accomplishments in the sport, but her commitment to creating opportunities for the next generation of female wrestlers.
As the incoming South Carolina 14U girls wrestling coach, Kalliscya is already helping shape the future of girls wrestling by mentoring young athletes and encouraging more girls to step onto the mat.
She shared that one of the reasons she wanted to represent In Her Era is because she understands firsthand how difficult it can be for female wrestlers to find gear designed specifically for them. Like many girls in wrestling, she's spent years searching for equipment and apparel that actually fits and performs the way it should.
Beyond coaching, Kalliscya is actively involved in helping create teams and opportunities for girls who may not otherwise have access to the sport. Through camps, coaching, and program development, she's helping ensure that more female wrestlers have the chance to experience everything wrestling has to offer.
