Kenli is a 15 year old female wrestler. What inspired us most about her application wasn't just her love for wrestling, but her commitment to helping other girls find the same confidence and community that wrestling has given her.
Kenli didn't start wrestling until 8th grade. Today, she's entering her sophomore year and is already paying it forward by encouraging younger girls to step onto the mat, helping at practices and meets, and showing others that it's never too late to start something new.
In her application, Kenli shared that one girl convinced her to try wrestling, and that decision changed her life. Now she hopes to be that person for the next generation of female wrestlers.
