Amelia wrestles with MCM in Salem, SD, and her story feels especially fitting for what In Her Era is all about.
Before Amelia ever became a wrestler herself, she watched her big sister practice and begged her mom to let her join. She had to wait until she turned five, and when she finally got her chance, there were only three girls in the entire wrestling room.
Two years later, Amelia is watching girls wrestling grow all around her, and she's doing her part to help it grow even more.
She invites friends to her private wrestling lessons and open mats, travels to tournaments with girls divisions, and talks about wrestling with other girls whenever she gets the chance. She wants them to experience the same confidence she's found through the sport and to know that there is a place for them in the wrestling room.
