Clementine is 6 years old and wrestles with Launch Wrestling and Upper Dublin in Ambler, Pennsylvania. What inspired us most about her application wasn't just her love for wrestling. It was the journey she took to discover it.
For years, Clementine watched her older brother wrestle and always insisted wrestling wasn't for her. Then one day, she decided to give it a try.
Those first few months weren't easy. She cried, struggled, and had every opportunity to walk away from the sport. But instead of quitting, she kept showing up. Practice after practice, she found the courage to walk back into the wrestling room, and before long, something incredible happened.
She fell in love with wrestling.
A year later, Clementine faced another difficult decision when she was offered a spot on her gymnastics pre-team. She had to choose between gymnastics and wrestling, and she chose wrestling because it had become something she truly loved and something special she could continue sharing with her brother.
We also loved learning that Clementine earned her team's Outstanding Sportsmanship Award during her very first season. That says so much about the kind of athlete and teammate she already is. Wrestling is about more than wins and losses. It's about perseverance, respect, and the friendships we build along the way.
