Please help us welcome Harper to the In Her Era Ambassador Team! 💗🤼♀️
Harper wrestles with Lady Buccaneers Wrestling Club in Pennsylvania, and her story is a pretty incredible example of what happens when girls are given the opportunity to build something of their own.
Harper was one of just FOUR girls who helped start her school's very first girls wrestling team.
Today, that team has grown to 14 girls!
Think about that for a second. Four girls helped get something started, and now 14 girls have a team to call their own.
That's what the growth of girls wrestling looks like at the local level. It doesn't always happen through big announcements or major events. Sometimes it starts with a handful of girls who simply want the opportunity to wrestle.
And Harper hasn't stopped there.
She's a state placer, a member of a Pennsylvania national girls dual team, and someone who makes a point to help younger wrestlers, build them up, and cheer them on.
We love celebrating girls who accomplish big things on the mat, but we're equally proud to recognize the ones who are making sure other girls have the chance to experience this sport, too.
Harper is doing both.
And we have a feeling the impact she's making on her wrestling community will last a lot longer than any medal.
